This privacy policy explains how Starling Lab (the "App") handles information. In short: the App runs entirely on your Mac or iPad and does not send any data about you or your usage to us or to any third party.

Starling Lab is an educational simulator of the human cardiovascular system. It runs a mathematical model of the circulation on your device and draws the results — cardiac output, arterial and venous pressures, an ECG strip, and pressure waveforms at each level of the circulatory tree — in response to the physiological settings you choose. Everything it displays is computed locally, from your inputs. It performs no other function.
The App does not read your documents, does not observe your screen or your keyboard, and asks for no access to your files, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, location, health data, or accessibility features.
The App has no user accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not ask you for any personal information such as name, email address, or payment details.
The App contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting that transmits data off-device, no cookies, and no tracking technologies of any kind. We do not know who uses the App, when, or how. Its App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected".
Arpacore B.V. does not operate any server, database, or cloud service in connection with this App. The App requires no internet connection for any feature, has no update service that phones home, and does not use iCloud or any other Apple cloud service to store or sync data. It works entirely offline.
Your preferences — the control values you last used, the waveform channels and presets you selected, and similar display choices — are stored locally on your device in the standard preferences location for the App. They are not transmitted to Arpacore B.V. or to any third party.
Starling Lab is distributed through the Apple App Store and the Mac App Store. Your purchase and download are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; Apple does not share your identity with us, and we receive only aggregate, anonymous sales and usage statistics that cannot identify any individual. We have no way to link those statistics to you.
Because no data about you is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove all App-related data from your device, delete the App in the usual way for your platform.
The App is made for an adult audience — students, clinicians and educators. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Starling Lab is an educational model, not a medical device and not clinical guidance. It simulates an average resting adult, and the values it produces are plausible textbook magnitudes generated by the model rather than clinical measurements. Nothing in the App should be relied upon for any clinical decision.
Because Arpacore B.V. does not collect or process any personal data through the App, rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection do not practically apply to data held by us — we hold none. If you have any questions or believe this is not the case, you may contact us at privacy@arpacore.com, and you always have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If the App's behavior changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page. You are encouraged to review it periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below.
