Privacy Policy of Einthoven Lab

Einthoven Lab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

This privacy policy explains how Einthoven Lab (the "App") handles information. In short: the App runs entirely on your Mac or iPad and does not send any data about you or your usage to us or to any third party.

What the App does

Einthoven Lab is an educational simulator of the 12-lead electrocardiogram. It runs a mathematical model of the heart's electrical activity on your device and draws the resulting synthetic waveforms — the twelve leads, the rhythm strip and the readout values that describe them — on simulated ECG paper, in response to the settings you choose or the teaching preset you apply. Everything it displays is computed locally, from your inputs. It performs no other function.

The App does not read your documents, does not observe your screen or your keyboard, and asks for no access to your files, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, location, health data, or accessibility features.

No sensors, no hardware, no patient data

The App does not connect to any hardware, accessory, sensor, electrode, Bluetooth or external device of any kind, and it declares no HealthKit or hardware entitlement. It does not acquire, measure, record, import or process any real electrocardiogram, patient or physiological data — no such data exists anywhere in the App. Every tracing you see is synthetic, generated by the App's own model.

No account, no login, no tracking

The App has no user accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not ask you for any personal information such as name, email address, or payment details.

The App contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting that transmits data off-device, no cookies, and no tracking technologies of any kind. We do not know who uses the App, when, or how. Its App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected".

No cloud, no server, no backend

Arpacore B.V. does not operate any server, database, or cloud service in connection with this App. The App requires no internet connection for any feature, declares no network entitlement, has no update service that phones home, and does not use iCloud or any other Apple cloud service to store or sync data. It works entirely offline and behaves identically in Airplane Mode.

Your settings

Your preferences — the control values you last used, the layout, gain, paper speed, pen mode and rhythm-strip lead you selected, and similar display choices — are stored locally on your device in the standard preferences location for the App. They are not transmitted to Arpacore B.V. or to any third party.

How the App is distributed

Einthoven Lab is distributed through the Apple App Store and the Mac App Store. Your purchase and download are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; Apple does not share your identity with us, and we receive only aggregate, anonymous sales and usage statistics that cannot identify any individual. We have no way to link those statistics to you.

Deleting your data

Because no data about you is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove all App-related data from your device, delete the App in the usual way for your platform.

Children

The App is made for an adult audience — students, clinicians and educators. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Not a medical device

Einthoven Lab generates synthetic ECG waveforms for education. It is not a medical device, does not measure or record physiological signals, and must not be used for diagnosis or patient care. The values shown on the readout bar — heart rate, PR, QRS, QT, QTc, axis and PVC per minute — are properties of the App's own synthetic signal, not measurements of any person.

Your rights under the GDPR

Because Arpacore B.V. does not collect or process any personal data through the App, rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection do not practically apply to data held by us — we hold none. If you have any questions or believe this is not the case, you may contact us at privacy@arpacore.com, and you always have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If the App's behavior changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page. You are encouraged to review it periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below.
